Creepy Feed
April 2
Well, today was fun, but it was not all the fun in the world. Miss Pat did not come to see me today, but Aunt Judy and Miss Debbie and Doc all told me that she called on the phone and asked how I was doing. There have been bumblestorms all day, and Judy told me Miss Pat did not want to take me home in the rolling red box in the middle of bumblestorms. So I have to stay at Doc’s Store for more day.
So I have decided I will just suck up and be cooperation and make the best of it. I am getting big and strong and I am so smart that everyone talks to me just like I was a big horse. I have an orange bucket that the peoples put pretend milk in all the time, but I still try to drink every drop. It is hard because now they put some little bumpy things in the bottom and the bumpy things soak up all the milk. Miss Judy called it creepy feed. It sure gives me the creeps to have it in my orange bucket. It is all mushy and gets all over my mouth and nose, and then it tickles and I have to snort.
But the creepy feed helps fill up my empty tummy. It works almost better than the pretend milk. I wonder if My-Momma-Banjo knows about creepy feed and if it is good for babies. I wish she were here so I could ask her about creepy feed. Maybe tomorrow when I go home, she can tell me.
I hope I recognize My-Momma-Banjo. I cannot quite remember how she looks like. And I am a little worried that My-Momma-Banjo might have turned into the orange bucket when I wasn’t looking.
