I Come Home From Doc’s Store

April 3

I Am Home!
So today Miss Pat brought me home in the red rolling box. When we got home, the first thing I did was call for My-Momma-Banjo, but she did not answer me. I guess she is still in the place where the bumblestorms come from, so I will have to still suck up and be cooperation until she gets back.

Miss Pat has built me a very fun place to play. I wonder if that is what “or-fun” means - a room for having fun. It’s a funny word and it does not really matter to me, so long as my orange bucket full of the pretend milk is here and I have a place to run and buck and stretch my legs again.
My Orange Bucket
My-Momma-Banjo’s big horse friends were here, and one of them told me that she had been My-Momma-Banjo’s best friend in this world. She told me her name was Momma-Palida. I said I am pleased to meet you. Do you know where My-Momma-Banjo is? Momma-Palida said that the peoples took her to the ravine to rest in the piece of it. She said when I am very big and all grown up, that I will understand what that means. She told me that I look like My-Momma-Banjo a little bit. And I told her well of course I do a little bit because I am just a little horse. When I am big, I will look just like her all the way. Momma-Palida said that I had a lot of at-it-rude for a little horse and I should watch my manners. I told her that I did not care, that she was not the boss of me. She told me “wait and see,” and I wonder what that means, but I do not really care too very much.

Miss Pat took a picture of her and me together. The way she took the picture we look like we are a horse - kind of. I think I like her very much. She is almost as wonderful as My-Momma-Banjo, but don’t say that I told that part.
