Raising sane sensible sporthorses to be lifetime companions

It’s My Birthday!

April 30, 2008

So today is my one-month-old birthday, but what is important to me is that my hair is falling out!  And everywhere it is coming out, I am a different color underneath.  I have been wearing a disguise all this time and did not even know it!
My hair itches!
But this disguise is really itchy now that it is falling out.  I itch all over my body!  Every time Miss Pat comes outside to see me, I beg and beg her to scratch my itchy places.  I always use my very best foal manners when I nip her elbow or her leg, but she just does not understand horse talk.  Sometimes she is cooperation and helps me out and other times she is mean and nasty and spanks my neck and says “watch your at-it-rude.”  I do not like to get spanked.  It makes me mad.

When I am mad, I shake my neck and flatten my ears, and then Miss Pat spanks me again and walks away and quits scratching me.  I cannot figure out how to explain to her that I really really need her help.  I need to figure out what my at-it-rude looks like so I can find it.  And then I can watch it and keep it out of trouble with Miss Pat.  Otherwise, I will never get out of this itchy disguise!
