Tasting Miss Pat's Coat

Hi everybody! It’s Me-Java again. Miss Pat says I am growing like a weed, but I think that is a not-nice thing to say about a cute foal. Weeds are nasty and they taste bad. I am not-nasty-I-am-sweet and I taste everything that is good. Right now, one of my favorite things to taste is Miss Pat’s coat. Miss Pat’s coat smells just like Miss Pat, and she carries peppermints and alfalfa cookies in her pockets. So when she leaves her coat hanging where I can reach it, I like to give it some love so she will know how much I love the smell of her and her peppermint alfalfa pockets.

Tasting Miss Pat's Coat

Miss Pat looked kind of sad this afternoon and it made me worried, so I went to her to give her some love, and her cheeks tasted like the yellow Salt-Lollipop-Block. Miss Pat said, “Java, you are so pretty. You look so much like your mother.” I have not thought about My-Momma-Banjo in very many days, but I am happy that Miss Pat thinks I look like her. It makes me feel proud and almost grown up to be pretty like My-Momma-Banjo was.

Happy Baby
