We absolutely adore this mare - she’s the farm puppy.
Echo got a late start in life and she’s been plagued with injuries almost from the beginning. We had really hoped to have her out on the show circuit in 2006, showing in hand and color, but she had other ideas and wrapped her fetlock in the fence. The injury has healed well and it does not affect her movement, as evident in her USDF in-hand debut scores.
Of all the Spendthrift foals we produced, Echo is the one that moves most like her sire, long sweepy movement in the front and flat along the topline. Her first show away from home, she was a perfect lady, and we were so excited to finally get her out and get her shown! She continues to grow into her leg length, and based on the Spendthrift “grow slow” pattern, we fully expect to see this girl finish a little over her current height of 16 hands.
