This great mare has the potential to make a solid, all round English prospect.
Chantez’s sire, Spendthrift, is a multi-time reserve national champion in ApHC hunters, with top ten list finishes in Hunter-In-Hand and Hunter Under Saddle, and additional top three placings at ApHC Worlds. Her dam, Stop Me Quick, was approved into the ISR mare books and was a track winner at 3/4 mile, and an own daughter of Artistic Glass, a TB stallion who sired regional dressage champions in two separate regions, and is, to date, the only TB in history to have done so. Stop Me Quick put three very talented daughters on the ground, and this one is the last one we have left.
Chantez is one huge mare, with her sire’s pretty baby doll head and her mother’s solid depth of chest and great bone. Chantez is a tremendous athlete, with the same forward energy that her mother had and the classic huge, sweepy breed hunter movement of her sire. She has more forward energy than a typical breed hunter, but she’s also level headed and sensible about training.
She’s started under saddle, but has very little under saddle show experience — we mostly just trail ride with her. We’ve got a limited budget, and we can’t get them all to the show pen. It’s not fair for a mare this nice not to have a real job to do. We’ve decided to put her on the market and hope that the right person is looking for her.
She’s offered for your consideration at $5000. We would consider that negotiable to the right situation, but you’ll have to talk our dauther out of her. Amy is 5′11″ and Chantez is the horse she picks to ride.
